Isolation and lack of schedule are doing strange things to my brain. I'm seriously considering allowing my circadian rythm to switch to 30 hour days until things return to normal. Should I do this?

The University has been shut down for a little over a week. Nobody knows how long this will continue. In the begining they told us classes would still end in the first week of June and we just have to deal with it somehow. Now they're not so sure. University still closed. The students are expected to study at home and we must provide them with reading materials and problems to solve. I had some trouble making my materials available to one of my groups, but that's been fixed now. Still, teaching like this is weird. I feel both tired of this and like I'm not doing enough. And now they've shut down all shopping malls, except for grocery stores and pharmacies. Restaurants and bars are only allowed to sell food to go. Churches technically function as usual, but apparently they're not allowed to let more than 50 people in at the same time ( Read more... )

I finished preparing for tomorrow's class. Then I checked my mail, and there it was. All classes cancelled until the powers that be say otherwise. This is, of course, because of the virus.
